Acer building quad core 8 and 10 inch low cost tablets

Acer has launched the budget minded tablet Iconia B1, at CES just for $150. The company seems not been satisfied with just one model in that price range and wants more. Acer’s Greater China head, Linxian Lang told China Times that the company is planning to launch 8- and 10-inch tablets with “aggressive” pricing. Its not only the size that Lang talked about, he also mentioned that these tablets will house quad-core MediaTek processors. A low-cost quad-core tablet would definitely give the company a boost and hopefully the tablet market as well. Unfortunately, there is now word on timeline on when these devices will actually appear.
