Liquidmetal Based iPhone 5 to Launch at WWDC in June
Korean site ETNews.com claims that Apple is planning to use new "liquid metal" alloys in the iPhone 5 to yield a thinner and lighter device that is resistant to impact damage. Appleacquired the rights to Liquidmetal Technologies "amorphous metal alloys" in August 2010 and soon after was spotted hiring engineers to work on the materials, but little concrete news on Liquidmetals contributions to Apple has appeared since that time.
ETNews does not have a lengthy track record regarding Apple rumors, although the site did incorrectly claim last year that the iPhone would launch in late June with a special event several weeks after WWDC. The site appears to have been more accurate with its January claim that Sharp had been cut out of the supply chain for the display in the new iPad. Sharp did experience difficulties meeting Apples quality control standards for the display production, and is only now ramping up production to help meet demand.
Based on the sources unreliable track record, the preponderance of expectations pointing to a release later in the year, and a lack of corroborating claims regarding Apples plans for Liquidmetals alloys, we believe that this rumor is not particularly reliable. Consequently, we are posting this claim to our blog primarily for reader interest and discussion.

The report also claims that the iPhone 5 will debut in June at Apples Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), returning to the mid-year launch schedule seen up until last years launch of the iPhone 4S in October. Most observers expect, however, that the iPhone 5 will not launch until the later September-October timeframe this year as well. iPhone 5 Rumors Persist New Dock Connector Thinner Design
The iPhone 5 rumors are starting to sync, providing a basic outline of what Apple’s next phone might look like.
While it has been previously reported that the new iPhone (or what many assume will be called the iPhone 5) will have a new, smaller dock connector,Reuters is now corroborating these rumors.
The next iPhone will come with a 19-pin connector rather than the 30-pin port on the current iPhone and iPad ”to make room for the earphone moving to the bottom,” two Reuters sources who are “familiar with the matter” said.
Apple has recently moved to a new dock connector on the MacBook Pro with Retina Display and sells an accessory so the new charging port is compatible with older chargers.
The move to use a new dock or charging port would save some space and may also allow the phone to be thinner.
Which brings us to another rumor. Last week The Wall Street Journalreported that Apple will use a new type of thinner screen that will integrate the touchscreen right into the LCD.
On the current iPhone, the touchscreen is a layer on top of the LCD. The new screen technology, which is said to be currently in mass production, would allow the phone to be thinner. Previous rumors also suggested that the phone would have a slightly larger 4-inch display (the current iPhone has a 3.5-inch screen) and use the second generation of Gorilla Glass, the durable glass that covers the current iPhone. That glass is also thinner, although it provides the same level of protection.
Additionally, the next iPhone has been rumored to have LTE and a faster processor and graphics.
Apple is expected to release the next iPhone during the fall, with many reports pointing to October, close to a year after the iPhone 4S was released. The next version of the iPhone software, iOS 6, was previewed in June and is also due out around the same time. Check out some of the new features in iOS 6 here.
Reuters has also reported that Apple’s third-quarter earnings, which will be announced Tuesday, may fall short, as iPhone sales have slowed over the past couple of months as buyers await the new phone. Apple has not said issued any statement about the next version of its iPhone.

Way to Jailbreak iPhone 4 On iOS 5 1 With Redsnow Mac OS X
This tutorial will help you to jailbreak your iPhone 4 using Redsnow . First of all i tell you that it is tethered jailbreak so you have to connect your iPhone with Mac computer and re-run redsnow to boot your iPhone 4 into fully operational state every time your iphone loses power. I am also telling you that this jaolbreak will not work on iPhone 4S and that iBooks will not work correctly until iPhone Dev-Team implement a patch that will fix this.
To jailbreak follow these steps .
Step 2: Once download process is completed start RedSn0w 0.9.10b6 launcher and click Jailbreak button located in middle of your window
Step 3: When the next window shows up, connect your iPhone 4 with your Mac using USB cable and power off your iPhone.
Step 4: When you are ready click Next button in existing window which will start DFU mode process
Step 5: When you click Next button simply follow instructions inside redsn0w window and continue clicking Next, after every step you perform on your iPhone (those steps you can find below)
- Hold down the Power (corner) button for 3 seconds
- Without releasing the Power button, also hold down the Home (bottom center) button for 10 seconds
- Without releasing the Home button, release the Power button BUT KEEP holding the Home button for 15 seconds
Step 6: After you have successfully entered in DFU mode with your iPhone 4, redsn0w will begin preparing your iPhone 4 for the Jailbreak
Step 7: Once redsn0w is finished preparing your iPhone 4 for Jailbreak a new window will show up where you need to specify options to go along with Jailbreak. You can specify any option you want but I suggest you to choose only Install Cydia and click Next
Step 8: Once you click next the Jailbreak process will begin, DO NOT interrupt this process and wait until it’s finished. When jailbreak process is finished iPhone will boot up and stuck at Apple logo. If this happens to you it’s because this is a tethered jailbreak and you will need to boot tethered with redsn0w in order to make your iPhone work.
Step 9: To boot your iPhone using redsn0w lunch redsn0w again and click Extras button and then choose Just bootbutton
Step 10: After that you will simply need to put your iPhone into DFU mode again.
