Intex Technologies announces their latest mobile INTEX VISION especially designed for visually impaired.

Intex Vision phone was unveiled by National Association for the Blind amongst its students and faculty. NAB is the largest non-government, voluntary organization in India.

Intex Vision is a very simple phone and very simple user interface. Intex Vision comes with nice entertainment features like Wireless FM Radio, audio player, 2GB expandable memory, torch light, auto call record, mobile tracker and more exiting features.

Developed at Intex’s Centre for Design & Development, the Dual SIM phone (GSM+GSM) has a large Braile keypad to facilitate recognition of digits. People, who are not conversant with Braile, could switch on the ‘Talking Keypad’ feature which speaks out in English the number they have pressed. Keeping in mind communication needs in emergency, the phone has a unique SOS feature which allows you to save four emergency numbers. By pressing the SOS button, the call gets automatically directed to the first emergency number.

Commenting on the launch, Shailendra Jha, DGM-Telecom, Intex Technologies said, "India has the largest number of blind people in the world and NAB is the best platform in the country to reach to them."

"The INTEX Vision phone is an ideal tool for the visually impaired people to satisfy their communication needs. It can play a very useful role in their integrated development," said Mohinder Kapur, President, National Association for the Blind.
