Verizon iPhone Vs AT T

AT&T Technology
At AT&T, the iPhone 4 costs $599 for 16GB and $699 for 32GB (that’s the unsubsidized price). At Verizon, buying the iPhone 4 at full retail costs $649 and $749. Verizon has not explained the reason for the extra $50 cost.

The data plans cost $15 for 250MB or $25 for 2GB. Verizon Wireless has not yet announced what voice plan it will require with the iPhone. Moving on to data, Verizon has nixed its entry-level data plan of $15 and will be offering a $30 unlimited data option instead. That costs $20 more, pushing to total data cost to $50 per month. The fastest data speeds you’ll get with a Verizon iPhone will probably be in the 2Mbps to 2.7Mbps range, with average data speeds falling in the 1.4Mbps to 1.8Mbps range. To be fair, the iPhone’s performance on Verizon’s network is completely untested. Verizon’s has none so far. Verizon is smack in the middle of deploying a faster 4G network that the iPhone 4 currently can’t use. AT&T is pushing its network to faster speeds with LTE this summer.

AT&T has quietly revised its data plans for iPhone users, allowing some to switch back to unlimited data. Verizon announced that it would be offering an unlimited data plan for new iPhone users, something AT&T got rid of last summer. This policy does not cover new AT&T customers who never had an unlimited plan.
On Tuesday, Verizon Chief Operating Officer Lowell McAdam told The Wall Street Journal that the company will offer iPhone buyers a US$30 unlimited data plan -- for now. Meanwhile, reports have surfaced that AT&T Wireless has let some subscribers to its limited iPhone plans return to its unlimited plan if they had subscribed to it previously.

Whats in a VZW Plan?

iPhone owners on Verizon Wireless will have to subscribe to one of the carriers basic nationwide calling plans and get an unlimited data plan on top of that. AT&T offers iPhone owners on its network two plans. The DataPlus plan provides subscribers 200 MB of data for $15 a month. The DataPro plan costs $25 a month for 2 GB, and subscribers have to fork out $10 per additional GB of data.

More Plan Changes on the Way?

AT&T and Verizon may further alter their plans as they battle to lure iPhone-craving wireless subscribers. Verizons McAdam reportedly sees the companys unlimited data plan as a lure to AT&T iPhone customers to switch.
